This is a very broad timeline of how a typical wedding day goes. Your actual timeline will be very detailed with more specific times, names, locations, and any other details needed to make the day go smoothly.
Sample Timeline
12:00 pm Photographer and second photographer arrive.
12-1:00 pm Photographing details and getting ready, second photographer goes with other partner.
1-2 pm First looks (couple, parents, wedding party etc.) Second photographer joins again.
2-3:00 pm Wedding party formals, family formals. Second photographer documenting the venue.
3:30-4:00 pm Ceremony
4-5:15 pm Guests go to cocktail hour (second photographer covers), newlyweds stay behind with main photographer for about 30 minutes for portraits then join guests.
5:15-5:30 pm Wedding party and couple grand entrances into the reception, couple first dance.
5:30-6:00 pm Dinner is served, the photography team breaks to eat.
6-7:00 pm Speeches, cake cutting, etc.
7-8:00 pm Dance the night away!
8:00 pm Grand exit. (optional)
