Wedding FAQ
-
When should we book?
As soon as you have a date! My booking period is the current year and the next, so as long as your wedding is not farther out than that, you’re good to go!
-
How long have you been photographing weddings?
I have been photographing weddings since 2021, main and second shooting.
-
Do you offer retouching? Do you use AI?
I always do light retouching for blemishes and slight skin smoothing if needed. I definitely love embracing your natural beauty! More retouching can be done for an extra fee. I use AI tools in my editing to remove unwanted objects in the background of images, nothing more than that!
-
Do you included black and white images as well as color?
Yes, I include a mix of black & white and color images. While editing the digital images I decide based on the image whether to make it black & white or color. I also use a mix of black & white and color film.
-
How do you choose a second photographer?
I have a lovely community of photographer friends that I work with who I trust to produce the same level of work as me, and provide the same level of personality and professionalism.
-
Are you insured?
Yes yes yes! As every photographer should be!! I have liability and gear insurance and can provide copies of coverage for venues if needed.
-
How long will it take to get my photos?
I provide a sneak peek in a week. The full gallery will be delivered within 3 months. Your wedding album will be delivered within 3 months of the gallery delivery date.
-
Do you shoot film and digital images?
Yes! I love film, it’s what I learned photography on and what sparked my passion for the medium. Check out my wedding/session investment pages to learn more about how I incorporate film into my work.
-
Do you visit the venue before the wedding day?
Not typically, however I always arrive early in order to tour the grounds and check out spots for photos. Upon request I can visit the venue prior to the wedding day for an extra fee. Inquire for details.
-
Will you have a replacement if something happens to you?
Yes, if there is enough notice I will find a replacement. If not, my second photographer will lead the day.
-
Do you require a retainer? What is the payment process like?
Yes, I require a 30% non-refundable retainer upon contract signing. This amount is taken off your total balance, and the remaining 70% is due one week before the wedding. Payments can be made by debit/credit card, Venmo, Zelle, or bank transfer.
-
Do you have experience photographing in different lighting?
Yes, from harsh sun, to overcast, to golden hour, I’ve seen it all! I definitely have my preferences and can suggest times for sessions or wedding timelines, but whatever the sun decides to do I can handle it. Indoor lighting too!
